A prayer for healing

Lord Jesus, You healed people with a word and with a touch. I'm asking You to heal [name] now.

You know exactly what is wrong, better than any scan. Reach into the place that hurts and mend it. Give wisdom to every doctor and nurse, and steady hands to anyone who has to act quickly. Take away the pain that keeps [name] awake, and give real rest tonight.

If healing comes slowly, give patience for the slow days. If it comes in a way we didn't expect, give eyes to see it. And if this road is long, walk it with us, so nobody has to walk it alone.

We trust You with the outcome. You are near to the broken and You bind up wounds. Do that here. Amen.
